I personally would like to know if you ar talking about Gerhard Meinl and about B&S. If you are then you are totallay wrong. I know. Manufacturers all over the world do private label and OEM contracts all the time. Exclusive contracts are not what the tuba business is all about. Exclusive contracts are what screwing tuba purchasers is about and controlling prices. Competition is what America is about and not exclusivity and what made it great and makes pricing competitive.
Just for your knowledge, Gerhard honors his contracts and would not do anything else. What the purchaser wants to do is his business as to exclusive purchasing and there are no manufacturers where their word S**** around, only mis informed individuals.
