I have played the B&S EEb at custom.I think that it is the same horn as the meinl weston 2141 that was just discontinued with the B&S name on it.I liked the horn but I found some notes that I was unable to get in tune by pulling slides. That tell me not to buy one right there.I have played the besson 983 and it is good but the one My friend has has to played with the tuning slide all the way in and it is still a little flat.I have heard that this can be corrected with a specific mouthpiece but if I am going to pay 4500$ fir a tuba I better be able to use the mouthpiece I want.I think if I buy an EEb it will be the willson.I have heard that they are the best hands down and you can get a used one for a reasonable price.I wanted to try the Walter nirschel EEb but custom did'nt have any yet.I am sure they will cost as much as the willson if not more because of custom's inflated prices.
