It's a matter of where you want to put your money. Instead of spending $25,000 on a new car, I'd rather spend $10,000 on a new horn, $5000 on a good used vehicle, $5000 on a good used sailboat, and $5000 on a good used motorcycle. I just had a discussion with my ear training prof. this morning. She just bought a new bow for her violin for $60,000! It's just a matter of perspective and preference...
