The faculty professor there is John Van Houten. For those not from LA, Mr. Van Houten is a studio player and freelancer. I studied with Mr. Van Houten for a while in high school and also my first couple years at Biola. I wanted to change my focus to more orchestral playing, so I asked Norm Pearson if I could study with him. I have studied with Mr. Pearson for 2 1/2 years now, and still get together with Mr. Van Houten on a regular basis.
