I agree with all these excellent ideas. But be careful as you
talk about breathing, horn care, getting along with others, etc.,
that you are not speaking to some "vacuum spots" in people's knowledge.

I did a class once with a group of band directors and mentioned
the use of the Eb tuba. Several of the band directors told me they
had no idea what to do with these obsolete horns since parts were
no longer transposed for that instrument! Once you get to a general
audience the tuba family becomes an amazing mystery. Varying keyed
instruments, slides, 4th valves, transposition, fingerings, etc.
are often unknown to generalists. Who's your audience? They determine
your targets.
