Hey Jay,

I had the chance to hear The Art of brass Vienna(w/Jon Sass) a few months back here in Japan and they did the Ewald 1 on their program. Of course it was the 5 part version and the trombone player played the part on a Wagner tuba. The horn player was using a Vienna horn(very sweet sound). Trumpet players of course were using rotary trumpets. Jon was using his new 2 month old B&S PT 4(the new larger bore version). Well it was an outstanding performance to say the least and very interesting. Never new that Ewald had scored the trombone part for a Wagner tuba or euph. If you have never had a chance to hears these guys and get the chance to please by all means do. They are amazing! The second trumpet player by the way is Anton Bruckners grandson. I could not believe it when he told me that. Those guys can swallow down some beer too.

Cheers (_)?
Pete
