What model # do you have? If you have a 17 3/4" bell flair, it is the model 25 BBb. If you have a 16 1/2" bell flair, then it is a model 20 BBb. They may have used a different model number like 21 or 26 to designate a detachable bell, but that was discontinued. Also, they no longer offer them in detachable bell.

To the model 32 CC posting. Earlier BBb and CC tubas had the 4th valve slide in the back of the horn. Then for a while, they offered a 5th valve set up that let you change slides to make the 5th equal a flat whole step or the 2&3 combination. Those model 32 CC's have a very nice sound and at $5295 for a brand new 5 valve Meinl Weston CC, they are hard to beat. I coerced Steve Dillon into getting the first one over 2 years ago. They have been a slow but steady seller ever since.
