I bought my 983 under the advice of Phil Sinder in december and I love it. It can perform in band almost as well as a CC and the low range is real good. The only F with a good low range that in general (that I thought) was the MW45 6/4 piston but I still preferred the 983 over it. I'm not pushing you to buy the EEb, but it is a very, very nice horn- especially up past g (top space), almost a bright euphy sound, very clear.
