Comparing Tubas

I recently played some tubas at a very respectful store. I found one that I really liked, a Mirafone 186. It was used hard and had many blemishes and dents. I did like how I sounded on it though. It was priced at $4,000 which to me seemed to be a very high price for a horn in semi-good condition. I did find another Mirafone 186 in great condition and it was cheaper than the one mentioned above. Here's my question: I liked my sound on the one I tried, but will this other horn still give me that same sound since it's the same make and model?(I would play it before I buy it but it's impossible) Would there be a huge difference or any difference at all between the one I played and the one I might buy? Any thoughts on this subject would be a great help. Thanx!
