Funny I should meet another going up for seats in college. I, too, have played in the first chairs at All-State and this is my senior year. As for advice, I can share a bit of wisdom. I know the Eastman only has one tuba chair open this year, for both grad and undergrad, which has discouraged me a bit. However, I would meet any teacher before I study with them.
