I recently play-tested a 163, and it played like a very big horn. Bell size notwithstanding, it's as big of a horn as 99.9% of players might need. The air necessary to produce a fff on the 163 would have produced a forte on my piggy. It's a very efficient instrument. Given the quality of sound, find one that's in tune with itself, and buy it.
