One of my students bought a new Cerveny 601 BBb last year. He brought it to a lesson and allowed me to play on it. It played almost exactly the same as my 601 CC. He was considering the same modifications as I had done to my horn, minus the 5th valve, but then he played a Miraphone 191 and decided to pursue that instead. If you really have a desire for a BBb horn, my advice is that you can expect nearly identical feel and sound from the BBb 601 as you get with your CC 601. For the money, I think these are really nice horns if you get a good one.
