As someone who just came into one last night I will say this about it. For being a 3/4 horn mine is built like a tank. It does not have the normal lousy sound of most 3/4. I can name at least 10 other horns of its size that will fall apart and sound like crap. Mine is a nice one that has a few dents and minor crease in the bell but it was enough for me to return my yamaha 321. The Conn has a much better sound. I dont feel uncomfortable taking it to any group I play with. I am leaning very heavily now to looking into getting a 3j which is the cc version. I am curious what a set of monsterweigh type objects would do to the sound. I play a bach 12 mouthpiece on it.
