Broken Valve Spring

Well in an effort to practice I was halted. I heard some noise in my second valve that sounded like the spring was out of alignment or something, I took the valve out and moved the spring a little and it broke. :(
The spring is coated with red rubber (I assume) and that's what's keeping it together right now. I've stopped practicing just in case I could do more damage somehow. So my question is: Do I just send for a replacement set of spring(s) or do I wait and see if I can get into a good shop to get my horn cleaned, springs replaced, and check out my first valve for stickiness anyway. If the second is suggested, any good places to go that I could probably get in and out of fairly quickly in the Midwest area? I'm in Winona, MN right now. I have heard of Alan Baer doing repair and this is a professional Sterling Perantucci Euphonium. I am a serious player, but I know the repair would be small. Any ideas suggestions?
