I agree with Joe. The repairman should have attempted to repair your tuba by measuring the valves. As I posted below (Repairman disagrees), any decent repairman should know what a Conn 5J is. If they do not, and do not attempt to solve your problem by contacting Conn (which is only a 1800# away), then maybe they really didn't want your business. Find someone else
