One concerto that seems to be overlooked these days is the Conccerto for Tuba by James Barnes. It's really a great solo with a hell of a cadenza. It's published by southern music. You should check it out. Another great piece of music is the Telemann Sonata in F minor. It was written for bassoon, but I performed it on recital on tuba the summer before this past one. You can take it down an octave from where written...I did the 1st and 3rd mvmts where written and the 2nd and 4th down. It's a baroque solo, I added in a bunch of trills and what-not....it's really a great piece. There is also the Marcello Sonata V in C. It's also a great baroque solo. Also southern music. Good luck!
