I am gonna have to agree with mr. S. here. I don't care for them either. Our band has some old ugly looking Conn's (non short action) and 2 new shiny purty looking jupiters......you better believe I play on that Conn.(because it plays 10 times better)
About the valves......it's probably the guide. We just got a new one a couple weeks ago and the valve absolutely did not work at all....due to an out of place valve guide.
The thing that cracked me up about jupiters is that on the boxes it says "pure craftsmanship". Arent they made in Taiwan?
