A fiberglass sousa shouldn't be THAT uncomfortable, unless you have a broken collarbone or a shoulder problem. With the correct neck and (2) bits, the bell not in the way, and remembering to "make the mouthpiece come to you, not the other way around", you should be able to come to terms with it.
