This message is for any of you dealers of Miraphones, like you, Charlie! I am still circling around a horn in Knoxville that we discussed a month ago. It has not been sold. It is a miraphone, with "premium" stamped on the bell. Serial number 15659. It is a 4 valve, rotary, with plastic links (I think!) It is BBb, silver accents. Lead pipe is brass, but I was told it is not the original. Rush wants $5K, and didn't want to talk down the first time I approached them. I am hesitant to negotiate ("horse trade") until I know what model it is, since it might be in fact a really expensive one, and not a 186. The valves are angled, if that helps. I think one of you guys said Miraphone could tell by the s/n. How do I contact them? Their web page is in German, and I do not talk that way. (I am anglohomolinguistic). The horn plays better than ANY that I have put to my lips, but I cannot pay that much moola. Thanks for your help. PS- any negotiating tips would be 'preciated.
