This reminds me of my Master's recital. Sitting backstage waiting to go on I went through the list of pieces and horns. Every piece was on a different horn and was a different clef transposition. This was between a CC, an F and a Euph. I started thinking, "What the hell did I do.... oh well - just go play the damn thing". All I did on each change was tune, then adjust as the horn got warmer. As posted by others below, sometimes you don't get the luxury of playing a note (poor trombone players in Brahms I). This is a produce on demand business - sometimes you have to play when someone else is ready even though you may not be. Switching cold is a good skill to have but you must weigh your potential for success agains the outcomes.

Just go out and have fun and enjoy the moment (and warm up before each number if you have the oportunity).
