If your instrument is a 3 or 4 valve comper, the pistons are very long. Leading to added weight. Hence leading to a need for harder springs.
All of this being a part of the Besson/B&H magic sound: take it or leave it. The last option implying your migration to the Yammies.

PS: If the pistons/casings are tight (that is: not overly worn or pitted), there will be no gain from getting new valves.
