Well, upon further thought, I considered the homonym "sheer", meaning "thin, pure, perpendicular or absolute". Aha!
But I had to endure a mental stumble. This is why spelling is important. If one has to wade through a mire of misspellings in order to glean some sort of meaning, your chances of being misunderstood are great. It's not being considerate of your readers and it indicates that you don't care very much about your own opinion.
