In the 3rd movement of Leonard Bernstein's Chichester Psalms, there is a moment when there is a G pedal, the chord above it sounds like the dominant of G-flat (oh, the tension), the soprano gently sings a scale going up to the Ab--and then everything resolves a half-step to the most tender G major cadence in existence. I want this music played at my funeral.
