Well, I guess you could say I'm fighting physics here. Large-bore rotary horns have, by necessity, large rotary valves. All things being equal, bigger is usually slower. The valves are the one thing about this horn I'm not crazy about. The 191 I tried had really nice valves, and as far as I can tell, the same bore. If they've come up with some way of getting the valves smaller/lighter, but maintain the same large bore, I just thought that might solve my problem.
Of course, I'm not independently wealthy, so I might just end up having to accept workarounds. Ian up in Canada (the only other guy I know with a 190 CC) suggested extending the paddles, so I might just try putting some quarters on this weekend...
