BBS vs Conference

There have been many instances of verbal abuse, i.e. swearing on the BBS lately. There is no justification for that type language in print or in person. (yes, I've been known to use the words myself upon occasion) We need to be able to set an ethical example for everyone, myself included.

Just a thought, but perhaps this group of tuba and euphonium players and other interested parties really need additional outlets to meet and greet one another. ITEA does a pretty good job of sponsoring conventions, but there seems to be a greater need to talk to one another. Without a face to speak to, we seem to lose some of the respect which we might otherwise use.

Any thoughts on the holding of regional conferences more often than ITEA schedules them?
