Once you get all the old oil off you should use the Binak sparingly. It usually takes me several cleanings and re-applications before the Binak works at its best. Use alchohol or some other solvent to remove the old oil. (Binak contains some solvents itself) Don't forget the inside walls of the cylinders if you have piston valves. After you have been using Binak for a few months you will find a couple of drops per piston every week or so will be more than enough. I use it on all my instruments and have it on my grandchildren's instruments (12 in all). In my opinion, it works! Jim Tyler
