I had a large Alexander receiver on my Alex C. I used Doug Elliot and Schilke HII on it. Lee Stofer here in Atlanta replaced the leadpipe with a new Alexander leadpipe, and now my receiver takes about ever size mouthpiece. I can tell absolutely no difference in the horn with a smaller receiver. What does make a difference in how it feels and plays is how far your mouthpiece goes into the receiver. Archie
