In 1963 Bill Bell, Arnold Jacobs and I played in the director's band. At one of the concerts Bill played Tubby and also did the narration. He used a small Eb sousaphone given him by his mother when he was 10 years of age. Arnold played the Strauss Horn Concerto at another concert. I have a record of that but not of Bill playing Tubby. Harvey Phillips did not play in that band in 1963.
