Being a MW2000 owner I would have to say that I have not found a horn that does what this one does. It has the absolute ability to balance an orchestra section and can easily be finessed in a brass quintet setting as well. I do this on a daily basis. It has superb intonation as well. I will say however that they do vary a bit from horn to horn because they are handmade. I have gotten to know mine pretty well and prefer it over any other that I have played. Others may feel the same about their own horn.
Bottom line if you are looking for a horn to do it all, the 2000 will fit the bill. But play lots of horns before you make your decision. What works for some may not work for you.
