You will find it much more workable to first bore out a piece of bar stock brass and then turn it to size once it is silver soldered to the rotor. It will be cleaner and is more simple then trying to fit sheet brass. This is if it is a solid rotor. If it is hallow, use a low temp. silver bearing solder so as to not loosen or unsolder the rest of the part
