Hi,
Just play what you sound good on, know your strength, if you sound great on Encounters II, why not do it. Vaugham Williams Concerto is cool, if you sound good.

Years ago I asked Fritz Kaenzig (University of Michigan) about audition material (for freshman audition), asking if playing Marcello Sonatas is fine, he said that was fine.

I think most college professers would love to hear a couple of etudes like Rochut, Blazevich and Kopproach, or something of that catogory.

I played Hindemith Sonata and one etude from Blazevich 70 studies (booke 1), one from Rochut Melodic Etudes (book 1) for my freshman audition and got in several pretty good school as well (like Uof Illinois).
