1) The time I spent in graduate school was a The University of Michigan. Fritz Kaenzig is the professor there. I think he is one of the best! Player, teacher, people in the business, all around good human being, etc.

2) Played some Bach 'cello suite mvts, a H.L Clarke solo and an etude of some sort (can't remember right now). I was asked some obligitory scales and some sight reading that doesn't stand out in my dusty mind as being too crazy. (The band placement audition in the fall sight reading was another story. I didn't do too badly, 3rd out of 13, but I still remember sweating that one out!)

3) I remember talking a little after playing, not so much "tips", just personal info, etc.

Another good person is Phil Sinder a Michigan State. Also another all around terrific choice with so much to offer. I like John Witwell, the band director there as well. He's very good.
