With all the scourings of the archives and everything I have heard the main conclusion I reached was is that it in no way compares to the Nirschl or even the HB50. Sure Norm and Jim play them but they are handmade custom jobs. I have yet too see enough consistency from Yamaha that tells me they could make this horn and sell it. All you have to do is look at the YCB 822. That horn is great when but good but there are some real dogs out there. If you want a 6/4 horn with suspect intonation buy a Holton. Good luck.
