I have a couple of helicons and they all play differently.I have a Conn 4 valve Eb from 1916 and a Conn 4 valveBBb from 1917. the BBb is the best of these two it has a very nice sound.I also have a Keefer BBb from about 1902 that I bought at a used furniture store for $30. Last fall I bought a King BBb from a junk store for $150 and it is amazing. I got so many more compliments on my sound in the Dixie band ,than I ever got with my Miraphone 184.
