I have 2 of that same horn that, coincidentally, I found in a closet as well! (I think I might have shown one to you when you were up here, I don't remember). Looks like the leadpipe on your's was lowered at some point- possibly changed, as well. Of my two, one has a large mouthpiece receiver and one has a small one-- I might be able to send you the leadpipe with the small receiver, if you're interested(the rest of this tuba is pretty much beyond repair).
The sound on these tubas is pretty incredible, but I've noticed that the 5th partial is EXTREMELY flat(almost a whole half step), this can be fixed by using some 4th valve alternate fingerings though. Good luck with the tuba!
