Before you jump all over him, please take a look at what GC is referring to. The English text he quoted comes from Paul's first letter to the early church at Corinth. In 1 Corinthians 15:52b it translates in the KJV as "for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed." Handel used this text in his famous bass aria, The Trumpet Shall Sound. In the original Greek, the word used for trumpet is salpigx (which came from the Greek word salos - a wave; for quavering or reverberation), which was much later translated into Latin as tuba.

I would much rather play the tuba than the salpigx!
