I tried a F Schmidt BBb. 4 rotary valves. Very nice, and only 3K. available through Brook Mays. Nice tone. Nice response. Couldn't find any bad notes on it. I really thought it would be all the tuba I'd ever need, but any time I've brought it up with Mrs. Howard, she reminds me of the new roof we need, or the new carpet we need, or my 9 year old's college education (not too early to think ahead....)
