A few years ago, I read a thread that all the Shoshtakovich materials are permanently out of print. I think this information came from Encore Music because it effected their Tuba Excerpt books. I think it has something to do with the government. I have not checked, but it MIGHT still be in effect. This is information from about 5-7 years ago, so I'm not sure. Maybe Encore Music can answer any questions regarding the matter.
