Shown is a Finke BBb tuba(?) next to a Willson 3400 Eb for comparison.  The Finke has a 0.550" bore and 9.5" bell and stands about 38" tall.
Not "stuffy" per se (notes slot nicely), but has an enormous amount of resistance.  A tuba mouthpiece is not the right choice here--a bass trombone mouthpiece works better and I'd think that a Wagner Tube mouthpiece would work even better--and maybe a smaller leadpipe.
