This is my first time posting, but I've been reading the boards for almost a year and I've never had a question that wasn't answered already, so thanks to all the people that posted so much useful information. My different question has to do with the first bell dent in my almost year old King. It's a small ding (dime sized)near the edge of the bell. The bass bone player in the community orchestra told me about a technique one of his teachers used to get the dent out...2 spoons on either side of the metal with a cloth or other finish protector under each. He basically said to rub it smooth. It seems like it would work, but it's not something I've heard before, so i didn't want to ruin my horn and go for it before asking. Anyway, if anyone has tried this and had it work or if anyone knows that it won't work, please reply to this. Thanks
