And I'll echo opening with the Fanfare from La Peri, by Dukas. 3 minutes of pure brass ear candy.
Then the Vaughan Williams 4th Symphony
and if the audience is still living after the following intermission,
Prokofiev's 5th.
Dream orchestra for this concert? Hmmmm. How about the Concertgebouw with Haitink?
Of course, the dream would be an unmitigated nightmare without the part that is really dreaming: That I could acquit myself acceptably in such a situation.
