Well, there's an open-source package out there (and I think it's available for Mac) called Ghostscript that will take a PDF (or postscript file) and convert it to TIFF or a bunch of other graphics formats, so you can get there from here.

I've had better luck with SharpEye 2 than with Neurotron Photoscore Pro that works with Sibelius. Funny thing is that Photoscore likes things rendered in grayscale, while SharpEye likes B&W. What I dislike about both packages is that editing the result is cumbersome, requiring lots of mouse-ing around. Contrast this with the Sibelius model which attempts to keep the amount of mouse use to a minimum.
