This summer USAirlines charged me $80 each way for oversized on a Meinl Weston flight case. Overweight would have been an additional $80 but the lady at the counter waived it. It was 74 lbs and the limit was 70 lbs. Don't lock the case - they may need to inspect it. We put straps around it in case someone popped the lock.
