There are a number of excellent recordings of Pictures:

1) Chicago Symphony - Rafael Kubelik conducting - Arnold Jacobs plays Bydlo on big BBb tuba!

2) Chicago Symphony - Neeme Jarvi conducting - Gene Pokorny's Bydlo is excellent

3) New York Philharmonic - Giuseppe Sinopoli conducting - Huge sound of Warren Deck. Good Bydlo too!

4) LA Philharmonic - Zubin Mehta conducting - I'm not sure if this is available, but Bobo recorded one of the most expressive Bydlos that I've heard

5) Rotterdam Philharmonic - James Conlon conducting - I'm not sure who is playing or what instrumnet Bydlo is being played on, but its very impressive. Conlon restored the original FF dynamic at the beginning of Bydlo found in the piano score.

6) Montreal Symphony - Charles Dutoit conducting - I'm not positive, but I believe Ellis Wean played Bydlo here. Excellent. The section playing is top notch too.

I'm sure I'm leaving out some great recordings, but these should help you get started.
