Pretty simple to make.....

Cut out a piece of heavy, washable fabric with ventalation capability (remember, this is the exhaust end of the horn) and cut a circle just above 21" in diameter or basically 22". A good way to do this is to create a card board stencil of the bell apprximately 1/2" outside of the actual bell dimension by tracing the bell, or use a ruler held in the center while tracing the circle with the scriptor being at the 11" mark. Then cut a matching strip of fabric or two strips to equal approx. 72" in length and 6-8 inches in width. (22x3.14=69.08; a few inches for overlap). Sew the strip(s) to the egde of the circle. Then either sew a piece of elastic on the inside of the outer edge of the strip (side not attached to the bell circle) of approximately 36" in length, or insert a drawstring mechanism in the outer seam.

If you have the sewing machine, fabric, and other proper tools, you would invest approx. 15-30 minutes per fabrication. Your cost should be under $10 per cover, dependending on the price of your fabric.

FWIW the only offering I have ever seen that is similar, is the little grate that goes in the bell that WWBW offers. All of the "sousa socks" I have seen were homemade.
