Here are a few:

Bevan, Clifford. The Tuba Family, 2nd Ed., Piccolo Press, 2000.

Bevan, Clifford. The Tuba Family, Scribner, 1978. This one may be in a library even if the newer one isn't, because it was published by a major publisher while the second edition is published by Bevan's own press. If you find it in a book store for a reasonable sum, buy it. Amazon has a few, but they are rare and apparently in demand and they list their minimum price at nearly $300. This price may be a holdover from before the publication of the new edition, though, and their five copies may stay on the shelf for a while. I still like having it, though, because it has pictures made from original photographs that were apparently not available for the update, which used line tracings of them.

Stauffer, Donald. A Treatise on the Tuba, Revised in 198?, self-published. Despite its humble publication standards, it is available right now from Amazon for $20. It is not as carefully researched as Bevan, but it also has different information from an American rather than British perspective.

Of course, Cliff Bevan wrote the history article in the Tuba Source Book, but his books go into far greater detail.
