I applied, auditioned and got into Northwestern as a possibility for my masters degree. Currently tuition is $26,000 per year. I was one of only two people to be accepted to the graduate program and we both were only offered $13,000/year. While this seems like a lot of money in scholarships, you must as someone else said, consider living expenses in Chicago, one of the most expensive cities in the country to live in.
It is well worth your while to go to NW if you can afford it, or even if you can't. You will not be disappointed.
As a side note, I decided to go to LSU with Dr. Joseph Skillen instead, and I am getting paid to go to school.
