I have never played a horn that projected quite as well at the PT-22p. The first valve slide on the first couple horns was way too long, I don't know if they've fixed this. I thought the low range was pretty incredible, easier blowing than that of my Holton CC. The sound is very, very similar to a PT CC tuba, think PT-4. I like the high range better on my Besson 981. Try them out, they're good horns, you might like it. It would be a great quintet horn and could hold it's own in a big ensemble since it project so powerfully. . .
