Does anyone know anything about the quality control on Besson horns, specifically the 983? The Woodwind and Brasswind catalog (online) advertizes "B Stock" horns at a pretty fair price. I emailed and asked, and was told that those horns have scratches or minor dings, but carry the same guarantee as brand new horns.
So, my question is, if I order one of these horns without playing it beforehand, what are the chances it will play well or be a total piece 'o crap? I don't have a lot of money to ship giant boxes across the country repeatedly. OR, is this whole deal way to good to be true?
Thanks for your advice!
