Once again, Brandon's three-valve tuba has compensating valves. The low B and C should be as easily played in tune (or moreso) as on a four-valve instrument. But they may be a bit stuffy and require one to feed the air to the horn rather than push it.

But trombones require a different embouchure and approach to air flow, as I have discovered myself. Playing a tuba with trombone chops will cause as much problems as playing a trombone with tuba chops.
